A Giant Copy of our Planet Made of Matches by Andy Yoder

March 3, 2015 | in Art

Sometimes the perseverance of some people is simply amazing. One of these people is Andy Yoder, who spent a lot of time to create a massive copy of our planet out of matches.

According to the author, he spent almost two years to create this project. It is true that he worked on it only after work and in weekends, but still it is really impressive. Yoder does not know exactly how many matches he used, but it is not very important. The process was complicated by the fact that the matches don’t always have the right color, so they need to be painted. The frame was made of plywood and each matchstick was glued to it.
