Amazing Faberge Fractals by Tom Beddard

June 8, 2013 | in Art

The Scotland-based Artist Tom Beddard for a long time was a physicist and studied lasers. Now he is known on the Internet as an artist and web developer under the nickname subBlue. The author creates extraordinary fractal images.

His new series of images has an intriguing title, Faberge Fractals. The name was chosen just right; the patterns do resemble the whimsical lines of the well-known master. In order for you to try to understand the creation process, we will quote the author: “The 3D fractals are generated by iterative formulas whereby the output of one iteration forms the input for the next. The formulas effectively fold, scale, rotate or flip space.”
