Selfies became so popular that even National Geographic decided to use the idea in their advertising campaign.
The concept was developed and implemented by Silvio Medeiros, the creative director of one of the Brazilian advertising agencies. The purpose of the campaign is to promote a new series of photographs of wild animals. Moreover, Silvio Medeiros hopes that people will understand the other side of this idea, too. In this era of modern technology, when you don’t need to own a camera to make a photo, all of us can be photographers and take a picture of something interesting instead of wasting time on selfies.
