Canadian documentary photographer Gregory Colbert started his career of a master in photography by working in Paris, where he was shooting documentary movies about important social issues.
Movie making led Gregory in the world of photography. He held his first exhibition in 1992, at the age of 32. The exhibition took place at the Musee de l’Elysee. Gregory Colbert spent the next 10 years traveling. He visited Asia, Africa, and even Antarctica. Everywhere he went, he tried to show in his photographs the relationship between animals and people. His exhibition Ashes and Snow, photos from which you’re going to see now, saw more than ten million people across the planet.
