Burning Matches Art by Stanislav Aristov

March 10, 2013 | in Photography

There has been about two years already since Stanislav Aristov doesn’t create photographs on the basis of burning or burned-out matches. But, according to the author, the interest for the project has not been lost yet.

Actually, this is not surprising, since this is a really interesting project. Stanislav Aristov lives and works in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Of course, before you are not just photographs, but photo manipulations. Each work of Stanislav is a composition of several separate images: matches, fire and smoke. The rest is just the author’s skill of photo manipulation. So, why the project ceased to exist? Stanislav believes that if he continued, that would be just repetition, and not creation.
