Today we offer you to go on a short journey with the photo-researcher Ralph Peno, who gathered these pictures bit by bit. These pictures were taken in a large period of time (about 50 years).
The period from the second half of the nineteenth century to the early twentieth century can be called one of the most difficult times in the history of the country. There were foreign intervention, and there was a revolution. In this time period there was also a change of eras. Historians call the 1911th the year of the beginning of a new history of China. In 1911 the Emperor was dethroned and was created the Republic of China. And only after the Second World War the Republic of China became that People’s Republic of China the power of which is more than palpable now.
