Dune House: A Green Roofed House Built into a Sand Dune

Modern designers and architects offer a huge number of such projects. But this house was built forty years ago. At that time, it was a very original project.

The history of Dune House starts in 1964, when Florida was covered by the Dora hurricane​. After the hurricane, on the coast appeared real dunes. In the process of rebuilding the devastated areas, architect William Morgan came up with the idea to build houses not on the hills, but inside them.
