American glass artist creates incredible beautiful and precise sculptures using colored and clear glass. Looking at his work, you realize how fragile everything in our world is.
Robert Mickelson was born in 1951 in the small American town of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, but grew up in the Hawaiian capital of Honolulu. He abandoned the college after only one year and studied the glassblower skill for more than two years. After that he took a master class with the famous master Paul Stenkarda. Two years later, the sculptor has ceased to carry his works on all kinds of fairs and concentrated exclusively on the galleries. Now Robert Mickelson is one of the most famous glass artists in North America.
