Finnish self-taught photographer creates emotional nature photography with incredible contrast. Moreover, he does not concentrate on one thing. This may be a large-scale landscape or a squirrel portrait.
Mikko Lagerstedt started shooting for the first time in December, 2008 and since then, did not leave the camera. And we should notice that it was worth it. Mikko thinks that the main purpose of photography is trying to show the world from a new perspective. He tries to express through shots feelings and emotions which he experienced when shooting. Favorite camera of the photographer is Nikon D7000, although he does take some pictures with D90.
If trying to describe his work, we could call them alarming landscapes. There is in his pictures something disturbing, but also beautiful and fascinating. Despite the stereotype that the Scandinavians are severe, the photographer’s emotions are imprinted on his work.
