As you may already know, the final part of the World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar. Besides the critique about the air temperature in the summer, an important question is where are they going to house all the guests of the event.
The capital of Qatar, Doha, isn’t a huge metropolis, and it will be hard to give everyone a temporary residence. So, there occurred a very interesting idea. The architects from Sigge and Global Accommodation Management offered a solution: a series of five floating hotels, several villas and even a water park that can accommodate up to 25,000 people. The development of the project will take seven to eight years. All buildings will be completely autonomous from mainland, and people would get there with the help of various water transport.
