This concept claims for the uniqueness because it may be the first in the history floating skyscraper. It will be used as a research station.
The main mastermind behind the project was the French designer and architect Jacques Rougerie. The overall height of the skyscraper will be 51 meter, two-thirds of which will be placed under water. If literally describe SeaOrbiter, it is probably a skyscraper ship. In the underwater part of the project can be located more than 20 people without any discomfort, even if they will be there for days. Rougerie is sure that the start of SeaOrbiter construction will be launched later this year. The total project cost is approximately $53 million. The skyscraper will become an oceanic scientific station, which will be able to explore the ocean, to study marine biology and climate changes, as well as being a place for astronaut training. This skyscraper will be powered by the energy of waves, wind and sun.
