Holographic Portraits on Thin Fabric by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew

January 27, 2015 | in Art

Thailand-based artist Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew creates multi-layered portraits that look holographic using yarn, fabric and a special transparent mesh.

So, using very simple material, Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew generates three-dimensional images that are very tender. Each portrait looks ephemeral and illusory because of the author’s technique. The eyes of all the characters are lowered as if they are immersed in a deep philosophical thought.
