Modern Italian sculptor Willy Verginer creates incredible wooden sculptures. The artist creates original, multi-faced compositions by playing with space and color.
Willy was born in 1957 in Brixen, and now he lives and works in Urtijëi. His wooden sculptures are grouped into themed collections such as bergluft (mountain air), which is a group of sculptures illustrating people in the mountains, and vis-a-vis—figures of people in front of works of art. A special mysteriousness to this wooden sculptures is brought by the combination of texture and color. These properties are perfectly combined with each other, creating the impression that each character lives in a few realities at the same time.
