Melbourne from Above by Tom Blachford

July 28, 2014 | in Photography

Australian photographer Tom Blachford offers a unique bird’s-eye perspective of the Australian metropolis. Tom is interested in aerial photography for a long time now.

For his photographs, he uses multiple cameras, depending on the task. He takes these pictures from a doorless helicopter. As Tom Blachford says, some buildings he never would’ve thought to photograph from the ground because they do not have any memorable features. However, when viewed from above, you see how unusual their roofs are, and you can’t just fly past them.
