Owl Photography by Milan Zygmunt

April 11, 2013 | in Photography

Milan Zygmunt got his first digital camera four years ago, but the real passion for photography came to him just last year, after meeting with a professional.

This was the professional photographer and naturalist Rostislav Stach. Zygmunt himself considers that Stach is the best photographer in the Czech Republic. When Zygmunt was asked why among his works are so many owls, the author replied that all birds are beautiful in their own way, but owls in flight are really amazing. Actually, they are pretty interesting just sitting on a branch. The head rotation angle of an owl is 270 degrees and the visual field is about 110 degrees. In addition to this, they can orient perfectly in the dark. This makes them very good hunters. The author took most of these pictures in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
