This French photographer with Swiss roots is a living legend of the photography. In her lenses always are elements of daily life and certainly emotions.
Sabine Weiss was fascinated by photography at the age of twelve. She bought her first camera on the saved pocket money. Her father supported her interest and sent his daughter to Frederick Boisson to gain experience. In 1946 Sabine opened her own photo studio in Paris. In 1950, she collaborated with the Rapho agency, where she worked side by side with Robert Doisneau and Edouard Buba. Despite her success and frequent book publications, Sabine Weiss is not as well-known as her contemporaries. We will try to correct this situation.
