Sanzhi is a nonexistent ghost resort town, the construction of which was started in the seventies of last century. The main feature of this resort was its futuristic design.
Sanzhi should’ve been kind of a tribute of honor to the great military leader Chiang Kai-shek, who passed away in 1975. There had to live the Taiwanese new-riches. There were diamond stairs and slides into the ocean right out of the house. Alas, no matter how hard the government tried to attract here luxury lovers, they did not succeed. Over the years, it got the status of a ghost town, and gathered some myths and legends around it. Five years ago, the government decided to demolish the town and arrange a recreational complex here.
