Sydney in Sand Storm

February 8, 2013 | in Travel

Sand storms are not a common phenomenon for the green continent, if not to count the desert area. It’s even more unusual when it occurs in a city situated on the coast. In Sydney, for example.

Three years ago, Sydney was suddenly covered with yellowish-red sand. The event was so out of the ordinary that on some photobanks were created groups dedicated to this event. For example: Red Dust and The Red Sydney Project. All photos were taken on September 23, 2009. The city looked like some unknown Martian metropolis. We offer you the most interesting ones, shots taken by different people in this extraordinary day.
